Burnley solar panel company Solarlec has got a double seal of approval from the renewable energy industry in an annual review.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme carried out a full assessment at the company's Billington Road premises and confirmed Solarlec's status as an official provider of solar PV panel systems for another 12 months.

They also approved Solarlec's application to supply solar thermal water heating systems to customers across the UK.

The MCS is the official body for the renewable energy industry and companies must hold official accreditation to supply products and carry out installations - customers who buy from unapproved suppliers risk failing to be eligible for feed-in tariff payments from their energy supplier through the government's cash back scheme.
